Michelle Pagano of Bier Magazine, Inc. has organized a nice little group named the Long Island Beer Enthusiasts, where all Long Island brew luvahs can go to discuss anything pertaining to beer, while meeting new people that could live right in your neighborhood.

I think it’s a great idea, and I’m all for bringing people together with common interests that may not be able to meet otherwise.

Michelle also takes it one step further and organizes various events, whether it be to breweries, or bars, to have a drink and chill sesh with other members who may want to join. The next event is a meet-up at Black Forest Brew Haus on 2/21 at 1:00PM, and they also have a tour of the Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. during the first week in May.

I suggest you sign up and join the group to keep updated on any new events and/or happenings in the future, and also to spread the word of beer on Long Island.
