Director’s Cut at The Art League

The future of Long Island art may very well be on view at the Art League of Long Island. Director’s Cut is exhibiting the top promising art students from Long Island universities and colleges. Student artists were chosen by art department heads, school gallery directors or a panel from the school.

Undergraduate and graduate students are included. Recent graduations and current students are among those chosen to exhibition. The artwork includes paintings, photography, ceramics, sculpture, digital animation.

The winning artists are Christina Makrakis, Jacqueline Laurita, Robyn Cooper, Chris Delloiacono and Bonnie Bekman. Also, Hans Purwa, Karolyn Brosnan, Monica Wilkinson, Vincent Smith, Alisha McCurdy and Thoe Michaelos.

Participating schools are Adelphi University, C.W. Post, Dowling College, Hofstra University, Nassau County Community College, Suffolk County Community College, SUNY Old Westbury and SUNY Stony Brook.
