Stony Brook Written All Over Lax World Championships

The good word keeps being preached around Stony Brook. Just when you thought more positive news couldn’t come out of the athletic department in Seawolve country, they have more gravy for the biscuits.

Six lacrosse players/coaches associated with the university will represent Stony Brook at this year’s FIL World Championships in Manchester, England.

Who to look for …
-Jordan McBride, playing for Team Scotland (currently playing at SBU)
-Kevin Crowley, playing for Team Canada (currently playing at SBU)
-Rick Sowell, assistant coach for Team USA (current head coach at SBU)
-Jak Wawrzyniak, playing for Team England (incoming freshman)
-Sean Chamberlain, assistant coach for Team Poland (graduated in 2007)
-Rhys Duch, playing for Team Canada (graduated in 2008)

Stony Brook finished the 2010 season, 13-4, and advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the first time in school history. The Seawolves won nine straight games en route to a No. 6 ranking, the highest ever in program history.
