The Dive Bar location in Manhattan’s Upper West Side (732 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY; (212) 749 – 4358; http://www.divebarnyc.com) hosted an evening with Evan Klein and his Oceanside brewery, Barrier Brewing Company, last Thursday as part of NY Craft Beer Week, and I had the opportunity to attend the festivities before heading to the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn for lo-fi dream poppers Best Coast in concert.
The photograph above is of my pretty little Barrier Brewing Company flight (Chatham Brewing Company and Davidson Brothers Brewing were also available for flight action), which of course, I finished with the quickness – as I do whenever I have any of Evan’s brews in front of my face.
Order of completion: Lights Out Stout, Ruthless Rye IPA, Bulkhead American Red, Barrier Belgian1, Greenroom Pale Ale.
I would have snapped a photograph of the finished flight glasses, but our waitress made a habit of removing each individual one from our table seconds after knocking back the last gulp.
Urg.
I consumed way too much of the complimentary assortment of cheeses and crackers, by the way.
I seem to always do that.
