Post Office Cafe
130 W. Main St.
Babylon, NY 11702

“It began as a mistake.”
The opening line of Charles Bukowski’s first novel “Post Office.”
Ever since being exposed to Bukowski and his suffering, blue collar prose (I believe I read “Factotum,” initially), I have wanted to explore writing as something more than just a hobby.
But that tale is for another blog entry.
Super Neat is here today to talk about another Post Office—the Post Office Cafe in Babylon—and their Oktoberfest tasting dinner on Wednesday, 10/6.
That sounded so dramatical.
The five course celebratory pairing will be coordinated by Paulaner representative, Scott MacDonell. In case you are unable to view the PDF file above, here is the complete menu:
apple sauce, sour cream
COLD BROOK TROUT
warm German potato salad
ginger snap gravy, cabbage, potato dumpling
Hacker-Pschorr Original Oktoberfest Marzen
GERMAN CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
Price is $40 per person (tax and gratuity not included). Reservations recommended.
