Hoppocratic Oath

I swear to you, Hoppocrates, with Beer Gods Mitchell, Jackson and Maytag as our witness, that all of the beer crafted by this brewer is innovative, authentic and true to form and style. As a symbol of our essence; we promise to ethically practice the art of hop brewing, and to loyally adhere to its universal craft principles.

Great South Bay Brewery introduces Hoppocratic Oath, an Imperial IPA that marks the Bay Shore-based brewery’s sixth beer since its conception in 2007.

Here is a description of Hoppocratic Oath, courtesy of Rick Sobotka, founder and head brewer of Great South Bay:

Symbolic of all of our beer, Oath is brewed with choice pale malts and select ingredients. Added to its nobility are tremendous amounts of 6 different hops with 12 hop additions. C4S2 Chinook, Simcoe, Citra, Summit, Cascade, & Centennial. We put all of our energy, ambition, passion, and skill into the Oath and we promise not an ounce less.

Expect Hoppocratic Oath to debut at the brewery’s showcase dinner at The Good Life (1039 Park Blvd., Massapequa Park, NY; (516) 798 – 4663; http://www.thegoodlifeny.com/) on 10/26.
