Commack’s Samantha Prahalis Suspended at OSU

According to the Associated Press, Commack native Samantha Prahalis has been suspended from Ohio State’s basketball team for the first three games of the 2010-11 season.

The university is citing secondary NCAA rules violations.

The AP said she’ll be allowed to practice with the team, but cannot travel.

Last season, she was a First Team All-Big Ten selection and averaged 16.3 points and 8 assists a game. She also set a school-record in assists (289).

Ohio State finished with a school-record 31 wins and won the Big Ten title.
