Long Ireland Riverhead Microbrewery

Super Neat Beer Adventure, Yes!! first crafted a feature on Long Ireland Beer Company’s acquisition of space for and construction start on their first official home?an all-purpose microbrewery and tasting room in Riverhead?for Riverhead Patch.

The 8,800-square-foot building, located at 817 Pulaski St. in the heart of Polish Town, would provide co-founders Greg Martin and Dan Burke with the necessary tools to operate locally (the two are currently contract brewing with New England Brewing Company in Woodbridge, Connecticut and Olde Saratoga Brewery in Saratoga Springs, New York) and, as a result, expand Long Ireland Beer Company into a full-time brewery.

We recently contacted Greg Martin over the holidays for an update on the entire construction process to see if the proposed launch date of “mid-January/early-February of 2011” was still a possibility.

Things are progressing well, never at the speed that you want them to. We are planning to be open for March 1, providing the State liquor authority is finished with the application by then.”
