Project Hoppiness Tasting Video, Belgian IPA

While Greenport Harbor Brewing Company’s Black IPA release party at Bobbique was postponed last Wednesday and rescheduled one week following due to severe snow-moonsoon conditions, assistant brewer Greg Doroski went MPG and AVI on y’all with a virtual tasting video for Project Hoppiness’ first release.

According to Doroski, the 30bbl batch of Black IPA is “almost all gone,” so attendance at Bobbique tomorrow evening is mustymusty. Also means new hops coming.

[cue hops coming.]

Here is a description of Project Hoppiness’ next installment, Belgian IPA:

Our second Project Hoppiness selection adds a Belgian twist to an American favorite. Our Belgian IPA is brewed with a blend of North American Pilsner, Wheat, and Caramel Vienna malts. The hop mix is from both sides of the Atlantic – Magnum, Golding, and Glacier. The floral qualities of these varieties meld with the distinctive spicy notes of a classic Belgian Abbey yeast strain, adding a complexity not often seen in your standard IPA.

No details on Belgian IPA’s release birth, but promise of details soon.
