Patchogue-Medford alum Derric Rossy lost his IBF heavyweight eliminator fight to Eddie Chambers in a 12-round unanimous decision Friday night. The loss drops Rossy’s career record to 25-3, which includes 14 knockouts.
According to FightNews.com, Rossy was two inches taller than Chambers and outweighed him by 30 pounds. He threw combinations, but couldn’t match Chambers, who was throwing hooks and counters and eventually cut Rossy over the right eye in the ninth round.
