Beady Eye, formed from the ashes of Britpop darlings Oasis after the departure of Noel Gallagher, have released Different Gear, Still Speeding and the single “The Roller.” It features Liam Gallagher’s assertive vocals and a catchy, dreamy Beatlesesque melody.

Raphael Saadiq recently released the album and the eponymous track Stone Rollin’. Atop the solid groove are intriguing, experimental vocal treatments and strange, yet interesting instrumental accents.

Veteran alt-country songstress Lucinda Williams triumphantly returns with Blessed and the song “Buttercup.” Her driving rock rhythms, distinctive, Stonesy vocals and evocative lyrics are always a treat; she has struck gold yet again.
