Left Coast Kitchen & Cocktails Sample Party

The West Coast has bestowed upon us such legitimacy as Long Beach-born Calvin Broadus, affectionately known as Hip Hop rapperman Snoop Doggy Dogg, and the popular family sitcom and platform for actor John Stamos, “Full House,” set in San Francisco between [fav.episode: one with pink bunny frame] 1987 – 1995.

Now, a third gift: Left Coast Kitchen & Cocktails.

Located in Merrick, within the former space of blues-and-brews dive Jessie’s Roadhouse, Left Coast Kitchen & Cocktails is the brainbaby of owner and head chef Chris Randall (a native Californian) and wife Heather, who wish to offer inventive family-style eats that blend both coasts of the States with land abroad.

Super Neat visited Left Coast with chums Anthony Jacobs and Alex Forbes last Wednesday (3/23), prior to Press 195’s inaugural Speakeasy Ales & Lagers dinner, and sampled some of their stellar brew selection, including Belgian 750’s Bockor Omer Blond (awesomely described on the menu as “Big Bottle of the best beer Chef Chris has tasted!”) and Het Anker Lucifer. We also tasted selections from California breweries Eel River and Mad River, as well.

Before our departure, chef Chris informed us of Left Coast’s first beer dinner, to be hosted with Great South Bay Brewery, on Wednesday, 4/20. More details soon.
