Though the simultaneous cask tap at The Cortland, T.J. Finley’s, The Good Life, Tap and Barrel and Great South Bay Brewery on Friday, 5/13 (6:00PM) is considered the kickoff for Long Island Craft Beer Week, that morning (7:30AM – 10:00AM), four Long Island craft brewers will serve as panelists for a breakfast discussion on local beer and business at Carlyle On The Green.

Mark Burford, owner, Blue Point Brewing Company
Greg Glassman, owner, Fire Island Beer Company
Rick Sobotka, owner, Great South Bay Brewery
Richard Vandenburgh, owner, Greenport Harbor Brewing Company

Moderated by Andy Calimano of Starfish Junction Productions and presented by ExecuLeaders, a “non-profit business association dedicated to educating the business community in methods and techniques of sales, marketing and networking, as well as helping foster new business opportunities,” the breakfast includes a full buffet, networking opportunities, and of course, the Long Island craft brewer panel discussion.

Panel Description: Operating a brewery on Long Island presents many of the same challenges and rewards as operating a more traditional business. Join us for an entertaining and educational breakfast where a panel of Long Island brewery owners will address the issues they face as Long Island business owners, the growth of the craft beer movement on Long Island, the impact the breweries have on tourism and the local communities, the strategies for getting and keeping customers, and the process of building brand loyalty.

$40 members, $55 non-members.
