During Long Island Craft Beer Week, the Long Island Beer & Malt Enthusiasts (LIBME) are sponsoring a charity tap handle at Bellport Cold Beer & Soda to:

a) raise money for Lighthouse Mission, a non-profit organization in Patchogue, New York helping to feed the hungry on Long Island

b) raise awareness for Long Island’s newest craft breweries yet to New York State-licensed

The latter includes Barrage Brewing Company, Port Jefferson Brewing Company, Squid Ink Brews, Chubby Ninja Brewing and more.

A $10 donation for “Fill A Growler, Fill A Belly” is suggested. All proceeds will be donated to Lighthouse Mission (and additional charitable organizations, if enough money is raised).

To further promote and encourage customers to support local craft beer, Bellport Cold Beer & Soda is also offering multiple taps (up to 4 at once) of Long Island-based beer for $6.99 (64 oz. refill) or $8.99 with glass.
