Hundreds of supporters of the Society for the Preservation of Long Island Antiquities (SPLIA) turned out for a benefit at the home of Bernadette Castro and Dr. Peter Guida. Each year, SPLIA chooses a local historic home for their benefit, and this one, overlooking Lloyd Harbor, is known as Panfield. It was designed by John Mead Howells and built in 1915 for corporate attorney Albert G. Milbank. The guests admired the house and perused auction items while sipping cocktails and enjoying a raw bar provided by the hosts. splia.org.
