Edible Brooklyn, Edible Manhattan and The Good Beer Seal transformed two floors of BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) into an exhibition of contemporary craft beer and local culinary culture for Good Beer on Wednesday, 7/28, and attendees celebrated the third annual event—the culmination of July Good Beer Month—with exclusive brewery/eatery collaborations and suggestive pairings.
Super Neat’s “Like” included Sigmund Pretzelshop’s selection of miniature pretzels (e.g., truffle cheddar, feta olive, cinnamon raison, garlic parsley, etc.) with Left Hand Brewing Company Sawtooth Ale and Milk Stout; Back Forty and their grass-fed brisket, braised in Captain Lawrence Brewing Company Liquid Gold; Orwasher’s Sixpoint Ale Bread, prepared with Sixpoint Craft Ales Otis Stout and wheat flour from Cayuga Pure Organics; and Kelso of Brooklyn Bourbon Barrel-Aged Industrial IPA (11.5% ABV), paired with The Vanderbilt‘s homemade mortadella.
Amongst the Long Island participants of Good Beer were Greenport Harbor Brewing Company (Citrus IPA and Summer Ale with Northern Spy Food Co.‘s pork terrine on crostini), Blue Point Brewing Company (Pale Ale and Toasted Lager with Arancini Brothers’ gluten-free risotto balls), and Southampton Publick House.
