Hofstra University announced today a business partnership with Warrior Lacrosse for equipment through 2015.
The agreement will provide the Pride with several sets of game uniforms, warm-ups and sideline apparel, practice gear, balls, sticks and the latest in gloves, shoulder and rib pads, arm guards, goalie chest pads, equipment and travel bags, and custom Warrior training shoes and speed cleats over the life of the contract.
In addition, the Hofstra team will be wearing Warrior helmets beginning in 2013. The Hofstra Lacrosse program will also serve as a testing and research center for Warrior’s latest equipment, according to the school.
“We are truly excited about our partnership with Warrior Lacrosse,” said Seth Tierney, the head men’s lacrosse coach at Hofstra, in a statement. “Not only will Warrior supply our program with outstanding equipment and uniforms, our partnership will allow us to be involved in the evaluation and beta-testing of new lines in the future. To align our program and have access to the top brand in the game is something that our team is anxiously anticipating.”
Warrior Lacrosse will also receive extensive signage opportunities at James M. Shuart Stadium, advertising in Hofstra Lacrosse publications and other printed promotional matter, camp marketing opportunities, and clinic and promotional appearances by the Pride staff.
“Hofstra Athletics appreciates its partnership with Warrior Lacrosse,” said Hofstra Director of Athletics Jack Hayes, in a statement. “This agreement will assist us in continuing to provide an outstanding experience for our student-athletes as we strive to make the Pride program one of the best in the nation.”
