Ford C. Frick Award Winner Bob Wolff will be signing copies of his book, “Bob Wolff’s Complete Guide to Sportscasting – How to Make It in Sportscasting With or Without Talent,” on Saturday, September 10 at 7:05 p.m. at the Long Island Ducks game at Bethpage Park.
According to the Ducks, fans will have the opportunity to meet the Hall of Fame sportscaster and purchase a copy of the book during that evening’s game versus the Camden Riversharks.
Wolff is now in his ninth decade behind the microphone. The only broadcaster in history to call the play-by-play championships in four major pro sports (World Series, NFL Championship, NBA Finals, and Stanley Cup Finals), his historic calls include Don Larsen’s legendary perfect game in the 1956 World Series and the 1958 NFL Championship Game between the New York Giants and Baltimore Colts (known as The Greatest Game Ever Played).
The Hall of Famer has been seen or heard on television and occasional radio play-by-play at Madison Square Garden since 1954, and was saluted by the Garden with a 50-year special called, “Bob Wolff’s Golden Garden Anniversary.”
