SBU’s Jankowski Getting MLB Draft Mentions

Stony Brook baseball continues to get good looks. This week on RantSports.com, Stony Brook’s Travis Jankowski was ranked at No. 20 on a mock first round Major League Baseball draft board. He would be taken by the San Francisco Giants if selected in this position.

The site credit’s Jankowski’s speed as a major factor in the pick. He stole 30 bases in 34 attempts last season. He was also named MVP of the Cape Cod League, raising his draft stock considerably.

Last season Stony Brook was fortunate to have two players selected by major league teams in Pat Cantwell (Orioles) and Nick Tropeano (Astros).
