Mather Healing Garden and recreation space

John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson recently dedicated a rooftop Healing Garden and recreation space for its adolescent and adult psychiatric patients. Dignitaries from the Suffolk County government along with Mather Hospital executives and board members gathered at the newly created area, intended as a place for patients to work with plants or to just enjoy sunshine and fresh air.
