Southampton Publick House hosted a release party for its Imperial Russian Stout 2012, a 10.50% ABV, nine-malt stout limited to 650 bottles, on January 28.
The annual event, in its fifth year, began at 9:00AM, when Spencer Niebuhr, brand ambassador of Southampton Publick House, distributed order forms with available bottles to a line of patrons.
Bottles included Imperial Stout 2012, and three additional new releases: 15th Anniversary Ale, a 9.50% ABV amalgamation of blonde ale and old ale, comprised of ingredients from Belgium, Britain, France, Germany, Scotland, and the United States; Black Raspberry Lambic, a 6.00% ABV variation of Framboise, aged in chardonnay barrels for 21 months; and Uberliner*, a robust version of Southampton Publick House’s Berliner Weisse.
Each of the four bottles also poured via draft, from Southampton Publick House’s bar.
*Uberliner was limited to 450 bottles. Stop. Contest. Stop. Wednesday. Stop. Peace. Stop.
