Great South Bay Brewery releases Sandpiper Irish Red Ale, a 4.50% ABV Irish red ale, and the fourth release from the Bay Shore-based brewery’s Tasting Room Exclusive Brew Series, on March 8 (3:00PM).

Description of Sandpiper Irish Red Ale:

Brewed to the raw bagpipe blast of “I’m Shipping Up to Boston,” this Irish Red will don ya a Kilt and knock yor knees to a jig. As luck would have it, we ran dry of yeast for this ale. So we spliced a few of our house cells, and developed a new Irish strain that we have named Leprechaunmyces. This charming new yeast generates a magically sweet, roasty, red glimmering Irish Grog. “My friends are the best friends…Loyal, willing and able. Now let’s get to drinking, All glasses off the table!” Slainte!
