Stu and Didi Pickles: Barrier Brewing Company Night at Mission Dolores

image

Mission Dolores hosted Barrier Brewing Company Night, a nine-beer evening with Barrier Brewing Company, on March 20.

Pours from the Oceanside-based brewery included BulkHead Red, a 6.30% ABV, maroon-hued ale with punches of caramel, citrus, and pine; Gosilla, a foggy, ocean-metallic gose; and Icculus, a 5.20% ABV kölsch.

It was the first non-brewery pour of Icculus (a growler preview was offered at Barrier Brewing Company on March 17), described by Niko Krommydas, human, as “straw-pale, corn-crisp, and fizzy.”

Brooklyn Brine Co. also provided complimentary pickles, brined in Barrier Brewing Company Cairn Scotch Ale.

Cue theme from Rugrats.
