Seven Great Days

Sunday
Baseball season is the true advent of spring. Make the trip to Citi Field and catch a Mets game. All Sunday home games are in the afternoon and there’s nothing like America’s pastime in daylight, the way it used to be. If you can’t score tickets, hit your local batting cages.

Monday
Head into Manhattan’s Lower East Side and meet someone new at The Stanton Social’s Social Monday. This hotspot has bold design, unique libations and a celebrity clientele, but their French onion soup dumplings are the main draw.

Tuesday
When April showers fall, stay home and redecorate. Just kidding. Instead, learn to kick ass. Hammer out your frustrations and get in shape with a boxing lesson.

Wednesday
You’re over the hump! Indulge in some well-deserved retail therapy at Roosevelt Field and a decadent meal at Bobby’s Burger Palace, all in the same Garden City location.

Thursday
Have some grown-up chuckles delivered in a childlike way at a performance of Avenue Q, the laugh-out-loud musical featuring puppets and sex talk at Smithtown Center for the Performing Arts (after April 14).

Friday
If you’re in Patchogue, or even if you’re not, check out the highly anticipated 89 North music venue. Local favorites play every Friday and Saturday night in April for the opening of this intimate new spot. (See our feature in May.)

Saturday
Enjoy art and crafts on the East End with an art show and some craft brew. Stop by the Parrish Art Museum for EST-3, an exhibition of SoCal art in Southampton. Then discuss over Berliner Weisse and eats at Southampton Publick House.
