Cider Slam

The apple is the indispensable fruit of harvest and the star player of thousands of recipes, including plenty of mixed drinks. This festively flavored punch (technically a cider) will bring you back to grandma’s apple pie, only this time with grain alcohol.

2 cans (12oz) apple juice from concentrate
9 cups of water
48oz fresh apple cider
1/4-1/2 bottle Everclear (grain alcohol)
3 cinnamon sticks
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar

Put all ingredients (excluding alcohol) in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 45 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 15 minutes. Add alcohol, pour, drink. Repeat last three steps to taste (or tolerance).
