Face Creams

No matter what your daily skincare regimen includes, a daily moisturizer is imperative. With the multitude of options currently available, you can choose a product that simply hydrates or one that has added benefits.

If you prefer to keep it as simple as possible, you will love Bayberry Naturals Mega Moisture Face & Eye Crème. With grapeseed, jojoba and vitamin E oils to soothe and hydrate, Mega Moisture is 100 percent vegan and free of sulfates, parabens, and artificial dyes and fragrances. It was originally developed for the eye area, so it’s great for sensitive and mature skin. It has a lightly sweet scent and leaves no greasy residue. About $18 for 2.2oz.

Koh Gen Do is a favorite line of mine, and the All In One Moisture Gel is a great find. It is lightweight, made from mineral-rich hot spring water and natural botanicals, and works as a boosting serum, penetrating skin lotion and moisturizer. Once the ingredients penetrate the dermis, it also works as a protective mask. There are no artificial colors, fragrances, mineral oils or parabens and it comes in a jar with a handy little spoon for application. About $62 for 3.53oz.

A nourishing moisturizer, Elite Premiere Crème from Elite Therapeutics is a physician formulated clinical skin therapy that also heals damaged skin. It has no fragrance or parabens and is cruelty-free. Elite’s proprietary blends combined with vitamins, botanicals and extracts make for a lightweight lotion that absorbs cleanly. I wasn’t crazy about the scent, but that diminishes quickly, and my skin felt smooth and healthy after just one week of use. $65 for 4oz.

Babor’s Skinovage PX Advanced Biogen Complex C Cream is packed with vitamins C, A and E, which stimulate cell production and provide protection from light-induced aging. Provitamin B moisturizes and protects, and the oils of macadamia nuts and sesame seeds soften. I liked the smooth texture, and it absorbed completely, so it worked well under makeup. It can also be used as a night cream when combined with Mimical Control Cream or Daily Revitalizing Cream. About $76 for 1.75oz.

Lifeline Defensive Day Moisture Serum utilizes patented, non-embryonic stem cell technology. They add extracted peptides from the stem cells to nurture collagen and fibroblasts. Added antioxidants, vitamins and minerals create a light, virtually odorless serum with an SPF 15. This gave my skin a fresh look and I think it’s worth trying. While the stem cells are not from viable embryos, they are taken from unfertilized human ova, so if you have any qualms, research parthenogenetic stem cells for more details. I found this to be a very effective product. $160 for 1oz.
