The Lark Pub & Grub hosts Sleigh Rye’d 2012 Release Party, an official unveil for the 2012 batch of Great South Bay Brewery Sleigh Rye’d, on December 01 (7:00PM).

“This year’s Sleigh Rye’d is a bit maltier and a slight touch sweeter than last year,” said Rick Sobotka, owner and brewmaster of Great South Bay Brewery. “We bumped up the rye to enhance it’s spice and piney crispness, derived from the juniper berries. I think it’s our best version yet.”

Great South Bay Brewery debuted Sleigh Rye’d in 2010, as the Bay Shore-based brewery’s winter seasonal.

Description of Sleigh Rye’d:

This winter red rye ale will keep you toasty warm throughout the season. Its delicious malty rye flavor with piney notes of juniper berries, goes down smooth whether you’re strolling about on a snowy night or curling up next to an open fire. So pick up a growler or two of this delightful jolly brew and serve it with all of your festive dishes and at all of your holiday events.
