Wake Up Your Face—No Excuses

As I sit here and materialize my thoughts I am trying to find another word for beauty. The word itself is incredibly dated and limiting. The practice and trends not only spans decades but millennia and is constantly evolving. Women and men incessantly continue the tradition of using skin care and color tonics to look healthy.

As a skin care enthusiast I have suggestions for those of you who adamantly claim that there is no time to apply minimal skin care. Snap out of it and donate some time to yourself. I am continuously meeting women and men of all lifestyles who cleanse their faces with a bar of soap or apply products that that only exaggerate undesirable concerns. Why do we do this? It is simply the need for more information.

If you are the person who is constantly on the go, your major excuse for not doing what you should be is typically lack of time. I understand life never stops for us especially if we are the movers and shakers of the world, have kids, busy careers or anything else that sacrifices our personal time.

I hear quite often from the busy mom that they literally have 5 minutes to invest in the morning, specifically speaking to skin care and makeup. They think it’s not enough however it’s plenty. Skin care does not have to be this lengthy five step ritual that takes an hour. It’s completely possible to narrow down the regime into two steps that takes minutes.

“On the Go” Basics Skincare AM/PM:

Normal to dry skin

· Hydrating cream cleanser with gentle exfoliation spheres
· Light to medium texture oil free moisturizer SPF 15

Stay clear of cleansers that strip moisture from the skin. If you smile after cleansing and are able to feel your face there is a good chance the cleanser you are using is drying and that can create oil and shine later in the day.

Oily skin and acne prone

· Dirt clearing gel cleanser with gentle exfoliation spheres
· Lightweight oil free moisturizer with SPF15

Your skin produces oil when it is lacking in hydration or simply because it is dry. The majority of individuals who have this skin type assume they don’t need a moisturizer when it’s actually a complete contradiction. Not using a moisturizer will encourage oil production and lead to more shine.

To step up your skin care routine, have a go with the following products:

What better opportunity to do something to boost your skins health and enhance your overall appearance then now. Skin care and makeup is not just about following trends or making a statement. It is really about improving your quality of life and that is essential.
