The Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence—an organization that works with individuals and companies to treat and prevent substance abuse—recently announced two new members of its team. Mary Ellen Kundrat is an employee assistance program specialist and Janine Friedman will work as Director of Training and Coaching. LICADD is currently undergoing unprecedented growth and now helps more than 80,000 people deal with the ravages of alcohol and drugs. Kundrat’s role will be providing counseling services to individual clients and their families. Friedman will work with companies that wish to provide training and information about alcohol and drug abuse to their employees.
