Suzanne Costa was recently appointed to the board of directors of the Ronald McDonald House—a charity that provides a home-away-from-home for the families of seriously ill children. Costa, an interior designer by profession, first became involved with the charity through Project Design 2013, which saw a slew of New York decorators help oversee the largest redesign of this Ronald McDonald House in almost 30 years. “Working on Project Design 2013 helped me realize that transforming a space for families in need was a gift that I could give, but more one I received,” said Costa. “The relationships I built at RMH-LI changed my path and lead me to understand that the right design can help the healing process.” Costa’s role on the board will be to help raise funds and awareness for the charity.
