There’s the chance to see California Chrome attempt to win the Triple Crown, the Rockville Centre Chamber is promising that downtown Rockville will be jumping on Saturday for the first annual Eat.Shop.Rock.RVC and there are burgers to vote in as the Battle of the Burger continues. WHEN/WHERE: Saturday June 7, noon to 9 p.m.
WHY GO: Enjoy downtown Rockville Centre, support the local community by stopping at one, or two, or as many as you can of the 120 booths from local business and organizations while enjoying music from local musicians.
Annual Boat Show
WHEN/WHERE: Friday June 6, noon to 6 p.m., Saturday June 7, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday June 8, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Mitchell Park Grounds & Marina in Greenport.
WHY GO: Stroll around the marina and check out the boats. If you go on Sunday, be sure to wander to the Chase parking lot for the Chowder Contest.
Woodlands Folk Festival
WHEN/WHERE: Saturday June 7, 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., at 380 Nicolls Road in Setauket.
WHY GO: Modern bluegrass, sea shanties and Irish music. Plus, it’s a family-friendly event with games and activities for all ages.
PRICING: $12 in advance, $15 at the gate.
