Three Can’t Miss Weekend Events

The start to any good weekend involves a delicious breakfast. Luckily, Nicole Meyer has an amazing Strawberry Butter French Toast recipe for us. After you make that or find someone else to make it for you, how do you feel about running 100 miles? Yeah, that’s what I thought. Well, if you’re not up for the run you can at least cheer on a Long Islander who is doing it. Matt Kearns is planning to run from Montauk Point to Long Beach on Saturday, June 14, as part of Wind 100. That’s just one of the many events going on this weekend, so chow down on that toast and get ready for action-packed days. Here are your three can’t miss events

Moonlight Paddle Tour
: Friday, June 13, 8:30 to 9:30 p.m., at Treasure Cove Resort Marina in Riverhead.
WHY GO: You read all about kayaking in our June issue, have checked out some places to launch your kayak and now you can join a group of fellow paddlers on a tour of the Peconic River while watching the sun go down.
PRICING: $45 per person

Open Studio Mohammed Kazem
WHEN/WHERE: Saturday, June 14, 1 to 4 p.m., at The Watermill Center.

Long Islander to Run 100 Miles
Saturday, June 14 7 to 9 p.m., Long Beach Boardwalk
