The start to any good weekend involves a delicious breakfast. Luckily, Nicole Meyer has an amazing Strawberry Butter French Toast recipe for us. Matt Kearns is planning to run from Montauk Point to Long Beach on Saturday, June 14, as part of Wind 100. Moonlight Paddle Tour
WHEN/WHERE:: Friday, June 13, 8:30 to 9:30 p.m., at Treasure Cove Resort Marina in Riverhead.
WHY GO: You read all about kayaking in our June issue, have checked out some places to launch your kayak and now you can join a group of fellow paddlers on a tour of the Peconic River while watching the sun go down.

Open Studio Mohammed Kazem
WHEN/WHERE: Saturday, June 14, 1 to 4 p.m., at The Watermill Center.
WHY GO: If you ever wanted to see what happens in an artist’s studio this is your chance. The Watermill Center resident artist Mohammed Kazem is inviting the public into his studio to view his works in progress.
Long Islander to Run 100 Miles
WHEN/WHERE: Saturday, June 14 7 to 9 p.m., Long Beach Boardwalk
WHY GO: A guy is running from the Montauk Lighthouse to Long Beach. It’s a 100 miles for Wind 100. Go to the rally and congratulate him.
