The tide is high and the surf is definitely out for Matt Barbara, co-owner of Surf’s Out Restaurant and Bar in Kismet, Fire Island. The popular Kismet restaurant has added new dishes to the menu for the summer season while continuing Surfs Out’s well-known festivities.
“Every year we refresh and change our menu,” Barbara said.
This year Surf’s Out added a tangy Asian Calamari, a soft shell crab dish and steak dinner, that’s sure to please. The changes, Barbara said are designed to expand the offerings of Surf’s Out throughout the season.
And with a sushi night provided by Don Ho, every Wednesday and Italian Nights on Tuesdays, dinners at Surf’s Out can always incorporate something different. Patrons can also bring the family to Family Fun Day every Sunday for games and a kid’s dinner buffet so no one is left out.
Look for a special Italian Night put together by co-owner Dean Cirella featuring Italian Crooner Dave Anthony for guests to enjoy on July 17, and a Clam Shucking Night on August 12 as a benefit for breast cancer. The full list of events are on the Surf’s Out website.
