Montauk Ocean Swim Challenge
One of the few chances to swim or cheer on a swimmer in an ocean race on the eastern seaboard, the 6th Annual Montauk Ocean Swim Challenge benefits the Aquatics Center at the Montauk Playhouse Community Center. Three races, a 5K starting at Ditch Plains Beach at 6:30 am, a 1-mile starting at Atlantic Terrace Beach at 7:30am and a 1/2 mile at Ditch Plains Beach beginning at 8am are designed so that swimmers of all ages and abilities can participate in the open swim challenge. Pricing starts at $25 for the 1/2 mile race in advance or $40 day of. The fee includes a swim cap, t-shirt and post-race breakfast.

WATER MILL
Super Saturday New York
It’s the biggest shopping event of the year. Kelly Ripa and Donna Karan host Super Saturday at Nova’s Ark Project in Water Mill from noon to 6pm. The one-of-a kind designer garage sale features items from more than 200 designers at 30 to 50 percent off. The designers donate every item and all the proceeds go to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. Tickets are $450 to $850, kids are $150.

Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes at The Suffolk Theater
The nationwide Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes tour stops on Long Island this weekend at the Suffolk Theater. Collaborator/musical director Jeff Kazee plays the Hammond B3 organ and piano, Glenn Alexander is on guitar, John Conte is on bass, drummer Tom Seguso, trombonist/guitarist Neal “The Dude” Pawley, Chris Anderson is on trumpet and John Isley on saxophone. They’ll be playing music from their newest album “Men Without Women: Live 7-2-11,” which features versions from their 1994 album “Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul,” and “This Time it’s for Real,” “Broke Down Piece of Man,” and “It’s Been a Long Time.”
