Raunchy Rivers

Brick walls, dim colorful lights, and an intimate vibe at the Paramount Theater was the perfect setting for everyone’s favorite (or least favorite) fashion police, Joan Rivers.

Rivers played two sold out shows at the Huntington venue, one on Friday night and one on Saturday night and no matter what age audience members were, constant laugher and occasional applause for Rivers greeted her performance.

Best known for her honesty, the star of the E! show Fashion Police, is on a book tour for “Diary of a Mad Diva.” She doesn’t look a day over 81 years old, and the way she kept her audience cracking up for an entire hour speaks to how sharp and on the ball, she is.

From start to finish, Rivers provided a hilarious, honest and of course raunchy set of jokes to humor the sold out venue that included slurs and poking fun at celebrities, Rivers never fell short of evicting a crowd response and finding the perfect place to insert a joke about the Kardashians.

Rivers is set to perform at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in the city on Tuesday night, July 29.
