“If I were 25 this is where I would live…” an older gentleman on the tour of the New Village Apartments in Patchogue said.
The apartments with their open-floor plans, granite countertops and amenities that include in-suite laundry, a pool, outdoor areas and pet friendliness have quickly attracted a wide-range of tenants. Even before they officially opened this past June people leased the apartments many times without ever seeing them. It was probably a smart move.
A clubroom that includes a pool table, fireplace and generous seating welcomes New Village apartment dwellers home.
The clubroom can also be rented out for events, with those who call New Village home able to secure their reservation through an app on their smartphone.
Step out to the pool area and you have to wonder if you’re still in Patchogue. While only one of the five buildings has the pool everyone has access to it.
Buildings that don’t have their own pool still have courtyards that include fireplaces and grills. It’s outdoor space with none of the maintenance.
Apartments range from studio apartments that are part of the affordable apartments program, up to three bedrooms. All of the three bedroom apartments leased sight unseen before the building was complete.
Bedrooms open to a generously sized walk-in closet followed through to a bathroom featuring spa-inspired baths.
The oversized kitchen space in the apartments comes with granite countertop perfect for bar dining if you don’t want to bring your dining room table. Or, some residents have used the open space living/room dining area as just a dining room turning a second bedroom into a den.
Living space in the two-bedroom apartment, Pulse Insider toured, was a bit on the smaller side although did include an outdoor patio. Each apartment also has it’s own laundry machines.
The hallways make the place feel a bit like you’re living in a hotel and valet trash (they come pick it up from your door) means those carpets should stay clean.
Oversized windows in each of the apartments drench them in natural light. A nice place to rest your head.
