The annual Hampton Classic Horse Show wraps up this weekend. The Hampton Classic ends on Sunday, Aug. 31, with the $250,000 Hampton Classic Grand Prix and FEI World Cup Qualifier. The show is open from 8am to 5pm, with hunter, jumper and equestrian competition daily. Not to mention shopping at 70 boutiques, a farmer’s market, pony rides and more. Tickets are $20 per carload.

The Drawn Word
The newest exhibt at Gallery North brings together the work of 18 comics and graphic artists whose work has appeared in magazines, newspapers and books. The show features original art prepared for publication, advertising and the comic industries. An opening reception on Friday, Aug. 29 from 5 to 7 pm will feature co-curators Judith Levy and Jeffery Fisher as well as some of the artists.

Photographer Deborach Feingold is holding a book signing at John Varvatos in East Hampton. Expect to hear stories from her meetings with the artists featured in her new book “Music.” She’s photographed Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Joey Ramone and politicians including President Barack Obama. Her book, out in September, is an anthology of portraits.
