From the Runway

Fall weddings are all brunt colors, comfort food and rustic accents and this fall the dresses are being inspired by those motifs just as much as they are by runaways of New York, London and Pairs. Here are five wedding fashion trends to fall in love with right now.

Embroidery: Fashion-forward features such as heavy embroidery, spotlighted at the fall fashion shows and are already are in the fall repertoire of dresses.

Coverage: Higher necklines and longer selves are trendy. “Often paired with a low sexy back, “ Lori Conley of David’s Bridal said. “And while strapless is the lion share of dress sleeves are becoming popular.”

Different Lengths: Rustic outdoor weddings might be the perfect place to try out shorter, non-traditional hems.

“We’re really seeing brides embrace non-traditional short dresses,” Conley said. “Great for outdoors weddings or rustic barn weddings.”

Collapsed Ball Gowns: Mermaid and trumpet may be the most popular but this fall, full dramatic skits are also making a comeback in terms of collapsed ball gowns.

Headpieces: The Gatsby era remains popular with beaded headpieces.
