On Aug 30, the Shinnecock Indian Nation held its 68th annual powwow in Southampton. The yearly event brings together American Indian tribes like Sioux, Cherokee, Iroquois and Mohawk from South Dakota and Maine to the Carolinas, as well as non-natives to celebrate and learn about their heritage and culture and enjoy traditional food and crafts.
