The Poll Brothers, Gillis and George, owners of multiple restaurants all over Long Island including Majors in East Meadow and Bryant & Cooper Steak House in Roslyn, are expanding. They’ve opened a restaurant in Yonkers, Angelo’s Family Style Italian, and are also expected to close on a new place here on the Island. It’s not yet a done deal, nor does it have a name, but we hear it will serve Italian food. Stay tuned.

Bay Kitchen Bar in East Hampton just completed a very successful first season, but closed temporarily last month for the winter. However, it is still available for holiday and private parties. Its chef, Eric Miller, who runs the catering concern Food & Co., is also available all winter for similar events. (The kitchen proper reopens in May.)

Back to the Poll Brothers… their Hendrick’s Tavern in Roslyn has been open seven days a week, but until now has only served dinner. Recently they began serving an extensive brunch on both Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 until 3:30pm and they are now serving lunch every day.
