Skin Deep
An introspective show commenting on perceptions of the body, skin, and superficiality opens at Studio 5040 Art Space on Saturday. “Skin Deep,” features new works by 12 emerging local and New York artists. At the opening reception songwriters will perform their original music and live body painting and body art will be created.

Crossing Lines
The works of Warhol, Matisse and Twombly provide the inspiration for stunning abstractions from Long Island photographer Adel Gorgy. The photographers blur the boundaries between painting and photography and ask the viewer if they can see in works of art other than what the artist intended. The intimate Chelsea gallery, Able Fine Art NY brings together photographer Adel Gorgy, painter Robert C. Morgan and sculpturer Yun-Woo Choi for Crossing Lines.
