“Marty” Gras Cocktail Party
“Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!” The Marty Lyons Foundation’s annual Mardi Gras-themed fundraiser will provide a Creole buffet, open bar and swingin’ New Awlins sounds by Pete Gumbo and Zydeco-Go-Go. Proceeds benefit the foundation’s mission to grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses.
The Crescent Beach Club, Saturday, March 7 , 7 to 11pm, $100 per person


St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Though it arrives a wee bit early, this is the one to see. This month is packed full o’ Irish parades, but the annual Huntington parade, started in the early 1930s by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, is Long Island’s oldest and largest with up to 50,000 in attendance each year.
