La Revolucion Cabo Cocktail Recipe

Join the Revolution this Cinco de Mayo with a cocktail bursting with flavors. Cabo Restaurant in Rockville Centre has created a celebratory sipper using Tanteo jalapeno infused tequila, which adds the same fiery spice the Mexican forces used to defeat the French in the Battle of Puebla. The fresh cucumber is a nod to the the new outlook the victory gave the country.

La Revolucion Cabo Cocktail Recipe

Makes one cocktail

1.5oz Tanteo Jalapeno Infused Tequila
.25oz Chartreus liquor
3 Slices Cucumber
2 Basic Leaves
.5oz Fresh Lime Juice
.25oz Lite Agave Nectar
Sea salt


In a shaker glass add the Chartreus and cucumber slices. Muddle together using a traditional muddler or a spoon.

Fill the shaker with ice.

Add Tanteo Jalapeno Infused Tequila.

Take two basil leaves and place in the palm of your hand and clap hands. together. This will release the oils from the leaf.

Add lime juice and Agave nectar.

Shake vigorously to blend all the flavors.

Salt the rim of a  6oz to 8oz rocks glass.

Pour into the glass and garnish with a cucumber wheel and a basil leaf.
