When the color experts at Pantone named Marsala the it color for 2015, it was met with some skepticism. The Cut notably called it icky: “It’s a color that makes you want to go to Olive Garden or order Tampax in bulk.”
Maybe marsala is just the type of color that needs some time to grow on people.
