Pet of the Month: Meet the Lovable Cowboy

Cowboy was displaced by Hurricane Sandy all the way back in 2012 and has been waiting for his forever home at Southampton Animal Shelter ever since. This big guy thinks he’s a lapdog, and with a face like that, why wouldn’t you let him curl into your lap for kisses and a belly rub? He’s super-playful to boot and loves to play fetch and take a dip in the pool. Cowboy, an American Staffordshire terrier mix, loves to show off his basic obedience skills, like “sit” and “place.” Though he is tolerant of other dogs and has had some girlfriends during his stay at the shelter, he would be best as the only pet in your home. Take a look at this video and then go meet Cowboy at the Southampton Animal Shelter.
