Tracy Anderson East Hampton Open for Business

People have been begging Tracy Anderson to open a studio farther east for years. Over Memorial Day Weekend, they got their wish when Tracy Anderson East Hampton officially opened its doors at 30 Park Place.

The state-of-the-art, 3,000-square-foot studio is the fifth for Anderson, who already has spots in Watermill, Tribeca, Brentwood, Studio City and London.

Hamptons residents and visitors can work on their fitness through full-time membership opportunities and payper-class options ($45 each) throughout the summer, followed by a year-round schedule of program offerings.

If you go to the studio, which features two floors and two classrooms, be prepared for Anderson and her team to turn up the heat, literally. Classes are heated to 86 degrees with 69 percent humidity. Why? Because, according to Anderson’s method, working out in the heat and humidity provides a number of benefits. For instance, sweat encourages the body to release toxins and improves skin elasticity and tone. The heat also keeps the muscles warm, ready to move and malleable.

Up for the challenge? As a studio client, members and visitors will have a variety of Tracy Anderson Method classes to choose from, including the highly-popular atTAin definition, caTAlyst cardio, multiTAsk band and specialized men’s atTAin definition workouts, which can be reserved through the company’s online booking platform. Classes led by Anderson trainers as well as limited master class sessions will be available with Anderson herself.

For the summer, the studio will be offering ViTAlity Week programming. For $1,200 per client per week, each individual will meet with Anderson and receive a personal body consultation. ViTAlity Week will take place over two separate weeks: July 9-12 and July 23-26. Each day, there will be a lecture at 8:30am and a class from 9:30-11:30am. Guests can sign up for either week on the studio’s website,

You may hate the multi-platform fitness/wellness pioneer during your workout, but the bottom line is this: Anderson is known for getting results. Just ask her long list of celebrity clientele, including Jennifer Lopez, Victoria Beckham, Nicole Richie, Robert Downey Jr. and of course, best friend Gwyneth Paltrow. Anderson’s methods have evolved over the years, but her basic goal remains the same: continue to develop thousands of new routines to ensure that no client ever plateaus.

With countless success stories to her name, it’s no wonder insiders are recommending you sign up at least one week in advance if you want to take a class in East Hampton. Anderson is also offering group and private training sessions on and off site.
