Finally, a totally rain-free weekend on Long Island. The East Enders took advantage, hitting the beaches and lounging by their pools. Adrian Grenier celebrated his birthday at Sole East, where he took in a performance by The Skins, and SoFo’s 26th Annual Summer Gala.
St. Jude’s held the inaugural Hope in the Hamptons benefit, which you can read all about in lipulse.com contributor Vanessa Pinto’s story.
The weekend was also one for art lovers with Market Art + Design and Art Southampton making their returns. Lipulse.com contributor Rachel Kalina was in Bridgehampton for the opening night of Market Art + Design. Check out a full gallery of the affair.
A summer highlight, Parrish Art Museum held its annual Midsummer Party. Approximately 1,000 guests, including socialites, business leaders, entertainers, artists and art collectors from the Hamptons and beyond, descended on Water Mill for the elegant affair. The guests enjoyed food, drink and the museum’s current exhibitions of world-class art like Tara Donovan’s new site-responsive sculptures and Chuck Close’s photographs.
Your daily aww comes courtesy of Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue. NBC anchor Chuck Scarborough and wife Ellen hosted the dog-friendly, red-carpet party, which was attended by Long Island Pulse’s April 2014 cover girl Beth Stern and her fabulous furry friend, Ollie.
Bay Street Theater’s 24th Annual Summer Gala took place in Sag Harbor Saturday and honored Timothy Bishop and Joe Pintauro. Bill Damasche and Dori Berinstein from DreamWorks Theatricals were in attendance for the event that featured the premiere concert reading of the first act of DreamWorks Theatricals new stage adaptation of The Prince of Egypt.
