As the sun rose to its highest point in the July sky, hundreds of the fashion forward set gathered in an open field at Nova’s Ark Project, ready to search white scalloped canopy tents for the best designer deals as Super Saturday NY 2015 kicked off.

“This is the hottest event of the summer,” Mark Feuerstein, who plays Dr. Hank Lawson on Royal Pains, now its seventh season and filming throughout Long Island, said.

Feuerstein, who attended Super Saturday with his parents, said he was looking for some new shirts and shorts but that you have to have a plan when it comes to rummaging through the items at the World Famous Garage Sale, the proceeds of which benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

“Get in and get out,” Feuerstein said

Not an easy task with clothes, shoes, accessories and even home goods on sale from more than 100 of the world’s finest fashion designers, including Diane von Furstenberg, Stacey Bendet of Alice + Olivia and Donna Karan.

Karan, who helped establish the event 18 years ago, once again co-hosted Super Saturday NY 2015 with Kelly Ripa. The designers donated the haute goods for the cause and celebrities including Feuerstein, Alec Baldwin, Brooke Shields, Olivia Jordan, Kristen Taekman and Jordana Spiro lent their star power showing up to mingle, and of course, shop. Last year Super Saturday NY rose close to $3.7 million for ovarian cancer research.

The event remained a genuine family-friendly affair, with food, games and even a kid’s carnival, not to mention an overall lighthearted atmosphere. B Floral created more than 1,000 flower crowns they handed out to people on their way to the main shopping tent turning guests into flower children and along with the designers, celebrities and fashionistas filled Super Saturday NY 2015 with good vibes.
