If you favor stylish, unique yoga wear with a message, Stelari needs to be in your vocabulary. The active wear line is made out of mostly recyclable materials like that plastic bottle you would never dream of buying, is made in the US and will have you saying ohm before your mat hits the ground.
The concept behind Stelari comes from Kim Roach, who as a long time yogi and runner wanted to create athletic wear that connected to something meaningful and spiritual.
“I worked a lot of jobs that were wonderful but not totally and authentically me, so when the kids were old enough, I got to the point where I wanted to follow my dream and see what happened,” Roach said.
Stelari launched nationally this past February.
“Our whole purpose is creating prints with purpose, a creative, boho-chic look that works with a woman’s lifestyle,” Roach said.
The prints are soft, loose and comfortable. Once you put them on you won’t want to take them off and the style will appeal to any woman with a bit of boho-chic in her. The spring/summer 2015 collection Tarot of the Bohemianism was inspired by unique artwork of vintage tarot cards and the Fall 2015 collection by the Australian Outback and the book Mutant Message Down Under. Each print was inspired by a quote or something the starring character in the book learned, the top named agate is based on “healing has absolutely nothing to do with time. Both healing and disease take place in an instant.”
“Some might pick it because it’s a pretty print, but others might find a deeper meaning in it,” Roach said.
Making her active wear meaningful wasn’t just important to the design but the actual materials used. With so many prints inspired by the Earth, Roach wants every article of clothing to be as sustainable as possible, which is why many of the pieces are made from recyclable materials including plastic water bottles, making Stelari 94 percent recyclable made.
“Find your rhythm, whether it’s going on a run or mediating, we want to connect you with that woman,” Roach said.
Roach’s Must Have For Fall: All Meshed Out. “It’s so hot for fall. I love it layered with an ombre tank. It’s so versatile, great to throw on after sports, cooling down or paired with jeans and flip-flops or tennis shoes. The black onyx is particularly fun for fall, with the Earth Ombre underneath it.”
