The lifelong Long Islander and Point Lookout resident was honored this past July at the People of Hope celebration held in New York City by the Providence House. This nonprofit provides critical assistance to women just released from prison who are homeless.
Kennedy, who is a partner of the Garden City law firm Bond, Schoeneck & King PLLC, was recognized for his contributions in commercial leasing transactions throughout the metropolitan area. Clients include Hofstra University and Westbury Realty Ventures, amongst numerous others.
Kennedy has served the public in various board positions and leadership roles. He has chaired the board and sat on two committees for the Family and Children’s Association Board. He is on the board of directors for St. Joseph’s College and South Nassau Communities Hospital and has served on the board of both the Little Flower Children and Family Services. Kennedy also offers pro bono legal services to 9/11 victims and their families, as well as drug and alcohol rehabilitation participants.
